12. A Honky Tonkin Afternoon at 100 Men Hall
The Silver Slipper presents Gal Holiday & The Honky Tonk Revue for a Honky Tonkin afternoon at the 100 Men Hall. Sunday, March 10 from noon to 4PM.
Bring your dancing shoes! Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue will be on stage lighting a fire on the dance floor. Sometimes called “The Punk Rock Patsy Cline”, “The Gal” is Vanessa Niemann, an Appalachian-born songstress with a powerful voice and magnetic stage presence. We are so grateful to have Silver Slipper sponsoring this music event at the Hall, they are a trusted community partner.
Come watch the mural come alive on the side of the 100 Men Hall. The Mural project is a visual storyboard of the Hall’s history and is meant to promote the vivid recollections of local residents. Muralists, Wendo and Jolean were chosen as the artists for the project, which is made possible in part by a grant from the Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area, as well as partial matching funding from the Puffin Foundation. This is going to be epic!
Hometown favorite, Steve Barney a/k/a The Mad Potter of Bay Saint Louis, will be throwing pots – upside down.
Chef Chris Hayes will be cooking up and dishing out delectable eats for purchase! Chef Chris Hayes has been on Food Network.
Local artisan ice pop makers’ Pop Brothers will roll their cart filled with luscious tasty treats over from Main Street.
Come to Bay Saint Louis for the weekend and enjoy Old Town’s second largest 2nd Saturday, Souper Mud Fest, a well loved fundraiser benefitting the Food Pantry and Animal Shelter, then stroll over to the 100 Men Hall for some SUPER DUPER Sunday Honky Tonkin fun!
