The Writing Room at the 100 Men Hall
Calling aspiring and seasoned writers: The Writing Room offers an inspiring place to write with a community of writers. The Writing Room will change your entire approach to writing and have you fall in love with the process. Rachel has hosted writers in California and New Orleans, and she brings to The Writing Room years of experience in facilitating workshops.
Betsy Woods, author of Twirling, Volume of Monk, Strong Moon Tonight, The Alfalfa and the Omega, says, “The tender fierce strength and intuitive guidance of author Rachel Dangermond both welcomes and engages the workshop writer, urging memoir to stir, dance, and fall upon the page. The most experienced author amongst us –or - the newly born writer just discovering their words will find a writing haven soothed by gulf breezes, in communion with the creative spirits who have called the iconic 100 Men Hall, home.”
The 100 Men Hall offers everything a writer needs to relax and open the vein of creativity. Write in the same place where music legends Etta James and James Brown played on stage and be inspired by the history made here. The 100 Men Hall is three blocks from the beach in the Historic District of Bay Saint Louis.
The Writing Room at the 100 Men Hall meets the 4th Saturday of every month from 1PM to 5PM. The Writing Room is donation based. We ask that you donate as much as you can to help with the operating cost of the 100 Men Hall. A usual donation would be $75 for the 4-hour session. You can purchase a $75 ticket or you can use the donation button to pay what you want.
